Take Part in Clinic Opportunities - you can learn essential lawyering skills by working in clinics on real cases under the supervision of professors and clinical instructors including opportunities in environmental law, immigration law, investor rights law, health law, and more.

Attend International Law Networking Events - we offer extensive opportunities to go to onferences and site visits, and get involved in professional organizations to network with prominent attorneys, firms and institutions in the international law sphere.

Compete in Moot Court Competitions - LL.M. students are able to particpte in our International Moot Court Program in English- or Spanish-language competitions around the globe and earn academic credit.

Participate in International Job Fairs - your dedicated LL.M. career advisor works with you including recommending career fairs. You may attend the prestigious New York International Student Job Fair, which attracts more than 160 of the leading legal employers from around the world. In addition, Miami Law participates in numerous job fairs with other law schools and organizations around the country. These programs give students increased access to a broad range of employers to be considered for internships and permanent positions in the United States and abroad including the prestigious New York International Student Job Fair for our foreign-trained lawyers, and numerous other fairs for all students.

Francisco Rodriguez Rubio (Colombia)

Corporate Legal Counsel, Motorola Solutions 

After graduating from Miami Law, Francisco worked in the Global Operations Legal Department of Bacardi-Martini, Inc., which was his first job for an in-house legal department of a global company.  After that, Francisco became employed by Motorola Solutions' Legal Department, where he continues pursuing his corporate legal experience as in-house Corporate Legal Counsel to this day.  

"Pursuing an LLM degree at UM Law opened a variety of opportunities for me, such as adapting to the American work environment and learning about the corporate legal world. Priscila Sterenberg (Brazil)

Associate, Holland & Knight, Miami 

Before attending Miami Law, Priscila Sterenberg worked at three different law firms in Brazil, specializing in corporate and insurance law.  During her second semester at Miami Law, Sterenberg worked as an intern at the Miami office of Holland & Knight, where she conducted research regarding international law and corporate law and analyzed Brazilian documents related to project finance projects. She chose Miami Law because of its diversity and location near Latin America.

Angel Alvarez Oliveros (Venezuela)

Angel is head of the Legal Department for Latin America and the Caribbean at one of the world’s leading solar panel and energy manufacturers.  He currently oversees operations in various countries, supporting the contracting processes, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of agreements including sales, vendor, distribution, consulting, and marketing agreements.
