Each year, several scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants to the White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. based on academic and professional skills and achievements.
With the exception of the Miami Law + Young ICCA Scholarship, no separate application is required for scholarships offered by the International Arbitration LL.M. Program. Students who submit a complete LL.M. application are automatically considered for these prestigious scholarships upon admission to the program based on academic and professional skills and achievements.

The University of Miami School of Law and Young ICCA award one full-tuition scholarship ($63,850) to an outstanding Young ICCA member to attend the White & Case International Arbitration LL.M. Program. The Miami Law’s Young ICCA Scholarship winner is chosen on the basis of an essay competition and an assessment of academic and professional achievements and skills. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must submit a written essay of no less than 2,000 words. Essays should address recent developments in the area of international arbitration in the applicant’s home jurisdiction, such as: Absent such recent developments in the applicant’s home jurisdiction, applicants may detail their passion for the study and practice of international arbitration in their written essay. Applicants also may choose to address other topics related to international arbitration in their submission. Applicants who would like to be considered for the Miami Law’s Young ICCA Scholarship must submit a complete application for admission to the International Arbitration LL.M., including all required supporting documentation, as well as their scholarship essay by the December 15 priority deadline. In an effort to promote stronger ties with foreign law schools and associations, Miami Law has entered into various cooperation agreements with institutions abroad, including the Center for Arbitration and Conciliation of the Chamber of Commerce in Bogotá, Colombia, and several Colombian universities. The agreements offer several partial-tuition scholarships ($15,000) for all LL.M. programs that accept foreign-trained lawyers. Up to four outstanding law graduates from each university or four outstanding members of each organization are eligible.
