Approximately 3,000 international students (undergraduate and graduate) and scholars (professors and researchers) from 120 countries study, teach, and conduct research at the University of Miami every year. International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) represents the needs and interests of the University of Miami international community and provides support services and programs for international students, scholars, and academic departments at UM.

Qualify to take a U.S. Bar Exam
Miami Law LL.M. programs offer the opportunity for foreign-trained lawyers to earn a JD + LLM program and/or take a U.S. Bar Exam. Many Miami Law LL.M. students take various state bar exams, including New York. See U.S. Bar Admissions for Foreign Lawyers for more information.
Career Advising Specifically for Foreign-Trained LL.M. Students
An experienced career advisor exclusively dedicated to foreign-trained law students assists with job searches and professional development needs, including one-on-one training on networking, resume writing, and interviewing skills. Students have access to extensive job search databases and resources on summer and academic-year positions, including international law jobs and fellowships, judicial clerkships and internships, and public interest & pro bono positions.
