    About the Program:  

    The Healthcare Law and Regulation track provides non-lawyer professionals with a robust understanding of the complex legal and regulatory landscape of the healthcare industry.  

    Program Outcomes: 

    Through this program, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks that govern the healthcare sector, including Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and emerging areas such as the use of AI in healthcare. You will learn to identify and mitigate legal risks related to healthcare fraud and abuse, data privacy, and cybersecurity breaches. This track also emphasizes the development and implementation of effective compliance programs and risk management strategies across a variety of healthcare settings.  

  • Technology

    About the Program:

    A Law and Technology concentration explores legal challenges in cybersecurity, privacy, and AI. Students gain expertise in global data privacy and protection, cryptocurrency regulation, and managing digital risk, all with a strong ethical foundation. 

    Program Outcomes:

    You will gain the knowledge and skills to identify and critically analyze legal issues and regulatory frameworks related to cybersecurity, information privacy, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence.     An MLS concentration in Employment Law and Human Resources Risk Management prepares HR professionals and business leaders to manage legal risks and ensure compliance across the employee lifecycle, while building ethical and effective HR practices.

    About the Program: 

    A concentration in Real Estate and Construction Law and Regulation provides professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects of the real estate industry.

    You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex legal and regulatory frameworks that govern land use, development, and housing, with particular attention to affordable housing issues. You will also learn to navigate the full spectrum of real estate transactions—from contracts to closing—while mastering the intricacies of title insurance.  

    The program equips learners to identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks in real estate and construction, including those related to information privacy, cybersecurity, and sustainable development. Additional skill development includes creation and implementation of effective planning and zoning regulations, managing real estate and construction contracts, and understanding the legal aspects of real estate investment and finance.  

  • Wealth Management and Financial Services

    The Wealth Management and Financial Services track is designed to grasp the intricate legal and regulatory world of financial services and wealth advisory.  

    Program Outcomes: 

    This concentration centers on the regulatory frameworks that govern U.S. banking and financial services institutions, including the roles and interactions of federal and state regulators. You will learn to identify and mitigate legal risks related to financial compliance, covering areas such as cryptocurrency, digital commerce, anti-money laundering (AML), and consumer financial protection.  

    This program also equips you to navigate regulations specific to wealth management, investment companies, investment advisors, and broker/dealers through exploration and management of critical cross-cutting issues, including information privacy, cybersecurity, data protection, and the legal implications of AI and machine learning within the financial sector. From trustees and family offices to fintech innovators, this track equips you to confidently navigate the legal, rick, and regulatory challenges shaping today’s financial services and wealth management landscape.  

  • General Legal Studies

    No, this is not a degree that will permit you to practice law or sit for a bar exam in any jurisdiction.

  • Do I need to pass the LSAT to apply for the online MLS program? +

    No. There is no standardized test requirement for your MLS degree for non-lawyers. There are no application fees for this 100% online program, either. To be accepted into this MLS online program, you must hold a bachelor’s degree or international equivalent from an accredited university with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

  • Is the MLS program 100% online? Is it only part-time? +

    You can pursue your MLS part-time or through full-time study.
