What is the International Alumni Ambassador Program?

The goal of the International Alumni Ambassador Program is to advance and promote the interests of the University of Miami School of Law globally through a network of alumni willing to assist with enhancing the law school’s international profile, overseas recruitment efforts, and furthering goodwill through activities in a city, country and/or region. Involvement in the program provides alumni with the opportunity to serve as the face of Miami Law in their country and give back to the school while further expanding their legal network and acting as a significant resource to prospective and admitted students.

What does a Miami Law International Alumni Ambassador do?

Recruit: Act as a contact for prospective students in his or her country, communicate with prospective students, and contact admitted applicants to congratulate them and welcome them to Miami Law, offer first-hand advice about Miami Law and the law school experience to potential incoming students, and exhibit at law school fairs in the area.

Fundraise: Assist with in-country alumni fundraising efforts by encouraging goodwill and a sense of “giving back” and foster partnerships and identifying fundraising opportunities with other universities, governments, and funding organizations.

Network: Help to plan and organize networking events in his or her country, connect with other Miami Law alumni in the area, and guide current students who may wish to relocate to the ambassador’s country.
